I had a decent walkabout yesterday beginning with the Stonebrodge Memorial Park in Fayetteville Tennessee.
An old Cars song as the audio, i still have that original 33 album. :D
I do too. All of my albums were put away in an attic by 1982 when my needle broke on my turntable. I walked through the park and wanted some good music behind this for what I was seeing and then made a more serious discussion about our freedom in my Discussion video there.
@DARRYL DUNCAN: I still run vinyl, I detuned my turntable so it plays albums at 432Hz in tune with the universe..
@nimble23: Perhaps I should send you my album collection if I could find them in my family's attic. I have everything from Woodstock Era. 60's and up. Every Jimi Hendrix album to Grateful Dead, Talking Heads and The Cure. All kinds from Chick Corea to Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie. I played a saxophone and trumpet as a youth so love all the brass sounds. I just haven't had a turntable since the early 80's.
@DARRYL DUNCAN: That sounds like an amazing collection Darryl and I am blown away that you'd suggest that for me.. : ) It would cost too much to send to the land of Oz though.. If I had money I would say; yep awesome! Send and I'll pay for shipping.. But I can't sorry. Someone else closer will read this and make you an offer.. lol ; ) Cheers brother!!
You cant beat the sound of vinyl, especially compared to mp3s.. You should get yourself a new needle/cartridge, you wont regret it when you hear that earthy goodness again.. People don't really listen to albums anymore, they prefer their playlists of 500 songs on random for example. I really appreciate that kind gesture Daza.. ; )
@nimble23: I have purchased well over $5000.00 worth of songs in mp3 format and still buy them. I like finding ways to put them into video and since I like Hitler so much I figure the best way is to have both- Hitler and music.
@nimble23: I don't mind paying for the shipping. Some of them might be worth some money too. I have the original 3-album set of Woodstock too.
@DARRYL DUNCAN: I'm speechless brother.. I don't know how I could repay you for that.. Would have to be at least $200 USD for the weight/distance and I've no idea how many we're talking about. I'm actually stunned by the offer and can't put my appreciation in to words at even the suggestion!! I could record them all at high resolution ie.. 48khz 24 bit (DVD qualtiy) and drop-share the files (as at that resolution, emailing will not be possible), so you can hear them again with vinyl quality.. Otherwise I don't know how else I could earn them.. Had no income since even a few months before lockdown, otherwise I'd happily pay for at least the shipping brother.. Shame you're on the other side of the world, be good to have a beer or several with ya.. : )
@nimble23: I have no idea where you are or where Oz is. I wouldn't have thought $200 for such a thing but maybe you are right. I live on a very limited fixed income which basically allows me to pay my bills each month. This month though our friendly Fed gave me $1400.00 and I purchased a laundry machine, a dishwasher and a microwave plus got a nice CCTV analog no-wifi- needed security system to watch around my house. I blew the whole wad.
@DARRYL DUNCAN: Lol.. Sorry man, Oztraya ; ) (Australia) literally couldn't be further away.. If I get income anytime soon, I will ask you to quote me how much to ship, hopefully I can afford it and give you some extra for the albums and time/energy spent.. Either way I consider it an offer of freindship and you have my loyalty in return. Haha I would've done the same thing, only I'd spend it on audio/music equipment.. Although I want to get a similar analogue security system too.. Cheers Darryl!!
