Dog World

I once bought the AKC Complete Dog Book and studied each of the breeds. I wanted to create my own new breed which would be larger, more intelligent, have greater ability to read thoughts and kill anything. To create a breed you'd have to be prepared to find homes for many mixed pups. Wolves into dogs into purebreds takes decades. I love all dogs which means I would be choosing the most promising of a litter to mate with an opposite most promising, mixing and mating until you get the desired dog you want then producing a purebred from 2 separate lines you created. The most difficult part would be finding homes for all the pups you don't need. These people you see having the largest dogs are doing what they can to have the best fighters on the field the next time the Jews want to start a War.

@DARRYL DUNCAN: we used to have our dogs with us in battle , the romans too . Can I ask you why my akita cross is jumping up and nipping me all of a sudden , hes 5 and a half months old and obeys most commands but when he sees a person walk past or a dog go past he suddenly lunges to play with them . But this nipping and jumping up at me is quite frustrating .

@Nemesis: He may be feeling a bit uncertain of other people. For his 1st year he shouldn't be exposed to other people outside of your immediate family or group. Try to comfort him with a lot of security but with less arm movements and words. He is right at the age when he can change. When there is no one else near him that 1st year he then becomes protective of his family group without the insecurity he may be feeling now. It will be great when he reaches full maturity because he will be a Boss Dog over all other dogs.

@DARRYL DUNCAN: oh thankyou darryl, he does get a bit nervous now again , hes the size of a labrador already, hes a strong boy . I'm glad hes not trying to dominate me , I was a bit concerned. Hes just started this nipping and jumping up at me .

@Nemesis: Try laying flat on your back with him standing over you. He will feel protective over you when seeing himself in that position. I wish I could see him. Each have their own personalities.

@DARRYL DUNCAN: I've not tried that before :-)he looks like an akita but hes mostly white with a few touches of Merle. One ear goes up lol hes a big softy and likes to have cuddles :-)

@Nemesis: They do and he is more responsive to you because you are female. He would not react to a man the same way. Akita's are usually 2 toned colored with either a black mask or white-stockinged feet. I bet he loves that attention!

@DARRYL DUNCAN: yes he does , loves hugs and trying to sit on my knee . His mother is very affectionate with her family but otherwise not to be messed with :-)

@Nemesis: Try stepping near the Hog mother of young piglets and then you will see protectiveness go to a whole new level. Or, go near a hen in a barnyard with young chicks.
