I dare anyone to find more than one photo of abused negro slaves. Although cameras were around in the mid 1800s, we find no documentation of the negro slave abuse. We can find many photos from that era, many civil war photos, but no abused negro slaves.

On the contrary, you will find negro slaves who were protected well against the southern heat with hats, appropriate clothing and housing. None look to be starved or abused.
